Biography
American writer chiefly remembered for the overnight success of her antislavery novel, "Uncle Tom's Cabin," in 1852. Most of her stories dealt with New England's past.
She was married in 1836 and had seven children.
Stowe died on 7/01/1896, Hartford, CT.
