American writer, journalist and novelist who wrote of Brazil and South America. His books and articles were published from 1960 and included "Safari," "The Mighty Amazon," and "Drum and Candle" in 1971, which was a story of voodoo and spiritualism. St. Clair contributed many articles to varying publications of Time, Inc.
