Biography
French astrologer, well-known as Madame Soleil. She began her successful career on radio with a debut on 9/12/1970, 6:55 PM, Paris, on Europe I station.
She was one of six kids whose dad died at the end of WW I. She married on 1/22/1935; three kids. Up until WW II, she had a knitting-wear shop, and on the side, she studied astrology. Her aunt, a psychic, turned over her astrology business at the fair to Soleil in 1970.
Lucien Morice, the head of the radio station, went to her for a reading at the fair and was so impressed that he put her on the radio. She gave readings to a growing celebrity clientele and by 1970, was a household name. As skilled as she was, her talents apparently did not extend to her finances and in 1976 she was convicted of fiscal fraud and given five months probation and a fine.
In 1978, her husband died. Twelve years later, while consulting Rene Moritz, a 19-year-younger client, she told him that he would marry in six months. He did - to her - on 9/14/1991. (They were both born under a Cancer Sun sign, Scorpio ASC.)
Madame Soleil began having heart problems in 1995 and died 10/27/1996, between 10:00 and 10:30 PM, Paris.
