Biography
American model, a publisher of a newsletter on doll collecting and a producer of audio cassettes on popular astrology. Her audios included series such as "Insights into the Sensuality and Sexuality of the Aquarian Woman."
Smyth became a national news figure when she became the informant who provided the key that opened evidence that the Menendez brothers had killed their parents. On 3/05/1990 she informed the police that Dr. Leon Oziel was the psychotherapist for the Menendez brothers and that she had overheard from the waiting room of his office discussion of the Menendez brothers about their parent's deaths in July 1989. Smyth was not only Dr. Oziel's patient but his lover. In September 1990 she filed a law suit against Oziel charging him with drugging, raping her and forcing her to eavesdrop. She claims that Dr. Oziel hypnotized her over the phone into falling in love with him. Smyth has been married twice.
