Biography

British TV host and pioneer on the children's show "Blue Peter." She was one of 25 presenters in the shows over a period of 38 years, appearing September 1962 to September 1972. Singleton quit Radio 4's "PM" program in April 1993 and moved into the position of TV quiz show host. She is the recipient of an OBE broadcasting award.

Singleton was at one time engaged to Pete Murray.
