Biography

American musician, a drummer, songwriter and minor producer of rock-n'-roll. He played drums and recorded with hundreds of big names, was a songwriter for TV and film scores and a producer of rock bands and guest shots on radio and TV commercials. By 1996, he claimed to own his own company with credits on Janet Lynn's album, Taj Mahol album and nominated for best R & B on David Benoit's last album.

Singer suffered with polio at the age of four that withered one leg and he began swimming at 14. He achieved the U.S. Gold Medal in 1967 but left sports to follow a music career.

His first marriage was to musician Amy Rodden in 1980 with one son, Andrew, 1982; they divorced in August 1986. He moved to Texas., married and divorced again; one daughter, Ali, born in 1988 and a third marriage in mid 1995; one daughter, Sarah, born in 1997.

On 2/18/2000 he met his son for the first time in 14 years, the day before Andrew's 18th birthday. He resumed an amicable relationship with Amy and they agreed to have Andrew move to Texas to go to college. Andrew became part of Marc's family on 9/22/2000. It turned out to be a bad idea, that lasted all of a month. Apparently Marc's temper was still in full force, as his third wife left him in April 2002, "after a lot of yelling."
