Biography
American astrologer and author, the director of Astro Communications Services Inc. She has been a practicing astrologer since 1974.
Living in a small town through her youth, she was raised in a stable and supportive family. Her first marriage was to a singer win opera singer with whom she moved to Washington D.C. They traveled and moved frequently, and had two daughters, Shannon in 1958 and Molly in 1970. Her third daughter, Liz, was born in 1978 with her second husband, a chemical engineer and business owner.
She was an art teacher from 1962-1970 in Illinois, an exhibiting painter from 1962-1980, a commercial artist from 1970-1975, owner of a metaphysical bookshop from 1976-1980 and consulting astrologer from 1974 on. Simms published her first book, "Twelve Wings Of The Eagle" in 1986. In June 1987 she moved to San Diego, CA to became Astro Computing Service's art director.
Simms and Neil Michelsen married in October 1987. When she was widowed on 5/15/1990, she took over as CEO of ACS. In early 1998, she sold ACS and remarried her second husband, relocating to the East Coast area.
Simms has published four books on astrology and one on Wicca (The Witch's Circle). She is a Wiccan High Priestess, a credited clergyperson from the Covenant of the Goddess.
