Biography

American actor and musician who plays ten instruments. His first gold record was "Hey, Little Woman," which led to his status as a teenage heart throb and a string of popular hits. On TV he co-starred in two series: "Here Come The Brides" in the '60s and "Getting Together" in 1971.

He was married, but divorced in 1981 after having two sons born in 1972 and 1974, Chris and Tyler.

Currently he is a certified emergency medical technician in Encino, CA., working by choice as he is financially comfortable. He joined the LAPD as a specialist officer, assigned to training cadets in first aid and CPR. In 1996, he wrote his autobiography, "Bobby Sherman: Still Remembering You."

Keeping up his singing, he joined Davy Jones of the Monkees and Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits for the Teen Idols concert tour, scheduled to play fairs, casinos and small venues in California in June 1998. A bit in the local paper at Yucaipa, CA reported that he was an honorary member of the Animal Placement Center, working with them on a fund-raising golf tournament in January 2002.

Source Notes

In January 2006 PT received birth certificate. Previous source notes reported same date saying: His official website says "Robert Cabot Sherman,Jr, better known as 70's teen idol, Bobby Sherman was born on July 22,1943, not 1945 as widely reported throughout his career." Penfield Collection states B.C. from Kiyo of July 22, 1947, 11:00 AM but the Music Dept of the Los Angeles City Library has three separate clippings that give 1943, including, "His marriage license gave his age as 28 in mid-1971," and a quote from him, "I remember the 1951 quake when I was eight."
