Biography
British playwright, noted for moving easily from farce to drama to portraying the agony of the human soul. His works include "Five Finger Exercise," 1958, "The Private Ear and the Public Eye," 1962, "Black Comedy," 1965 "Equus," 1973 and "Amadeus." He is the twin of playwright Anthony Shaffer.
