Biography
French catholic ecclesiastic, monk of Tibhihrine (Algeria).
Formerly served as german soldier.
Safe ans sound after terrorist attack, he was one of the two survivors with "Frère Amédée" (Jean Noto), born on 18 October 1920, La Calle, Algeria, time unknown, after kidnapping on 27 March 1996, in the early morning (the captors did not notice their presence in the monastery). Seven monks were confined, and then killed during algerian civil war: only their heads were found two months later.
He spends the end of his life in Morocco (Notre-Dame de l'Atlas).
