Biography
German jurist, the nation's most renowned constitutional theorist and the Third Reich's Crown Jurist until his fall in 1936.
Schmitt became a Professor of Law in 1921, forging a successful career as a teacher and writer on legal and political theory. As the Nazis came to power, they regarded him with some suspicion.
