Biography
American musician and composer of over 120 scores for U.S. and international films. A graduate of the Paris Conservatory, he began scoring films in the late '60s and developed into France's most prolific screen composer. His amazing rate of film compositions, to a diverse field, has earned him several Cesar awards and an Oscar nomination for "Tess" in 1979. Some of his noted U.S. films include, "The Bear," "Ghost Story," "Tess," "Lord of the Flies," "Liza," "Lovesick," "The Manhattan Project" and "Eve of Destruction."
His brother, Alan Sarde, is one of France's leading producers.
