Biography
American author of fantasy books. Inspired by Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings" trilogy while in college, he changed his major from computer science to journalism."The Crystal Shard from TSR" (1988) was the first of many novels to be published. Many of his books have been on the New York Times bestseller lists and "The Silent Blade" won the Origins Award in 1997. He and his wife have three children.
