Biography
American murder victim, raped and murdered in New York City in the early hours of February 25, 2006. She had been last seen by her friends who left her in a bar at 3:40 AM that morning. She proceeded to another bar where the barkeep said she left alone when the bar closed at 4 AM. A bouncer at that bar with a previous criminal record for drugs and armed robbery was later arrested and charged with her murder. An autopsy determined that she had been brutally asphyxiated.
An excellent high school student she had graduated magna cum laude from George Washington University in Washington, DC in 2003 and moved to New York City where she was pursuing a master's from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Her father, a Venezuelan immigrant to the United States, had died in 1990, when Saint Guillen was a young child. Her mother and older sister said that the small family became extra close after the girls' father passed away. A vivacious and loving person, friendly to all and always willing to help, the slight young woman was smart, attractive, interested in many subjects, and active in organizations.
