Biography

Portuguese poet and suicide. In his short life, he produced works of poety and fiction, including "Confession of Lucius" which he printed in 1914 and a volume of poetry published in 1915. His work conveys his despair and a sense of alienation. Suffering from depression, he ingested strychnine and died on April 26, 1916 in Paris. He was only 25.
