Biography

Polish-American entrepreneur who began to tap her marketing genius by selling homemade face cream in 1890. She operated salons and went into mass production to build up a fortune of $100 million.

Short, plump and plain, she was a hard worker and shrewd executive. She collected antiques as a hobby.

Rubinstein died in 1965.
