Biography
Spanish bullfighter, one of the most famous toreros of the 20th century.
An inspired and temperamental gypsy who was praised and adored for his unique "art," he was strong and courageous in the ring. As a result, he was one of the highest paid performers in his field, and his reputation grew to legendary proportions. Curro announced his total retirement in 2000, after more than 40 years as a matador of bulls.
