Biography
French author of a series of some 27 novels, "Men of Good Will," 1932-48. In 1903 Romains had a mystical experience of universalism, unity of all things which he expressed in a book of poems "La Vie Unanime," 1908. He originated a study of the phenomena of "Eyeless Sight." When his book was translated and published in London, 1924, he was initially ridiculed before gaining a following.
