Biography
American pro athlete, record-setting baseball player, nicknamed "A-Rod." He began his professional career with the Seattle Mariners. In 2003, he became the youngest player in major league history to reach 300 home runs. Three weeks after being named American League Most Valuable Player for that year, he was traded to the New York Yankees. He did the Yankees proud; on June 8, 2005, at age 29, he set another record--this time for first player to hit 400 home runs before age 30. The 2005 MVP continued his record of "youngest player ever" awards: in 2006 he hit 450 home runs. A-Rod took another “first” on August 4, 2007 when he became the youngest player ever to hit 500 homers.
A-Rod married Cynthia on November 2, 2002 and their daughter Natasha was born two years later, on November 18, 2004. He was dubbed "Stray-Rod" when he was later seen parading with a beautiful blonde who was clearly not his wife.
