Biography
American pioneer pilot who experimented with gliders and planes from 1907. He and Glenn Curtis built the first successful hydroplane in 1911. He was General Superintendent of Aero Marine Planes in 1917. During WW I Robinson built planes for the Navy as a co-designer in Curtis Aviation. Post-war, he built the first passenger air-liner, a ten-passenger flying boat. He died in March 1963 in Maryland.
