Biography
French singer, a lyric-coloratura with a voice of great agility and phenomenal range, greatly acclaimed. She studied in Paris where she made a debut in 1945 as Gilda. Her opera appearances were mainly in France and Belgium but she sang in San Francisco in 1954-1956. She was said to have sung the highest note ever emitted by a human voice at that time.
She died prematurely at the height of her career, 12/10/1960, Paris.
