Biography
American journalist, news correspondent on ABC News out of New York and 20/20 and investigative reporter. Anchor of the late edition of Eyewitness News (11 PM ET) since 1999, he was named co-anchor of the primetime edition (6 PM ET) Eyewitness News on ABC in February 2001.
Ritter began his news career as a newspaper reporter in 1972. In 1987 he joined the investigative team for a local San Diego news station. With experience with NBC affiliates, Fox News, a Disney affiliate and joined ABC in January 1993. In June 1998 he became anchor for an ABC affiliate in New York; he was promoted to ABC's flagship station in September 1999
