Biography
Polish-German pilot known as "The Red Baron," the most famous flying ace of WW.I He was credited with 80 allied planes shot down. He had a prosperous family background with his dad in the military. Richthofen became a lieutenant in 1912 and went into the flying service in 1915 and combat in 1916.
On 4/21/1918, he was shot down in his Red Fokker, Vaux-sur-Somme, France.
