Biography
American twin girls born 15 second apart by C-section. Baby Rhiannon was born at 17:15:49 (5:15:49 pm), and Baby Raine was born at 17:16:04 (5:16:04 pm). Baby Raine was born with all of her organs reversed and, in line with prior births like this, was not expected to survive more than 48 hours. Their term was 28 weeks, exactly seven months gestation.
Two months after the babies were born, Rhiannon was scheduled to go home on a Saturday but she took a turn for the worse on that Wednesday prior to leaving. As a result, her discharge from the hospital was delayed a few days, and she and Baby Raine were placed side by side in the Pediatric ICU unit. After Rhiannon stabilized, it appeared that Raine as well had begun to show marked signs of improvement.
At six months, they were both active and normal. Baby Raine has a small leak in her heart that will probably need to be repaired.
