Biography
Australian mother of a baby born after 13 years of infertility. When she began feeling unwell, she thought her ulcer was acting up and was amazed to find that she was pregnant, without medical intervention. She delivered a son on 10/16/1996 in Melbourne, Australia.
The delivery was complicated and life-threatening. She was given an epidural that affected her upper body instead of lower and she was unable to breathe. A hole was put into her throat to get oxygen into her lungs and stabilized her condition before administering a general anesthetic to perform a C-section. It took months for both Rachel and the baby to recover.
