Biography
American family of eight kids of whom he is No.7. CK had situational depression and joined the Franciscan order from age 19 to 28 (age limit waived in his case);
never married. He has consciously worked through family issues and emotional dynamics to come out on the other side. He came close to alcoholism at one point a decade ago but may have been, by his admission, a side-effect of not doing anything like that while in the order.
