Biography
American homicide victim, an infant killed by her 18-year-old mother, Violeta. The teen-ager's parents and brother did not know that she was pregnant and when she went into labor in her bedroom at the family apartment, she delivered the full-term infant by herself. She then put her hand over the baby's nose and mouth until it suffocated. When the family found out what happened, they took her and the dead baby to the hospital. The police picked up Violeta and charged her with 2nd-degree murder.
