Biography
American artist, known for her impressionistic landscapes. The images from her paintings are soft and fragile, yet have a strength and intensity that pulls the viewer into the picture and into Reed’s state of mind, effectively communicating her emotions and thoughts.
First introduced to the art world by her mother, an accomplished painter, Reed spent her early years working in a wide variety of media and received numerous awards from both local and state associations. Primarily self-taught, her creative abilities were enhanced after she moved from the northeastern United States to the Appalachian countryside where the beauty and culture provide limitless inspiration.
