Biography
American white male accused of molesting as many as 250 boys while working with youths at a Catholic church and a YMCA in communities north of Boston, MA. The member of a well-known Middleton family, Reardon was arraigned on 5/04/2000 on charges of molesting 29 boys, a count that rapidly increased to 122 boys. During a search of his home, the D.A. reported that a list of 250 boys ranging in age from 5 to 14 was found, with notes beside the names describing each boys genitals and a description of the alleged molestation. Reardon allegedly lured boys into acts ranging from rape and oral sex to using an inflatable female doll in his presence. This may be the largest child abuse case ever presented in the Massachusetts criminal courts. In August 2001,he was sentenced to spend between 40 and 50 years in prison followed by supervision for the remainder of his life.
