Biography
Australian noted family member, second son of celebrity criminal, Mark "Chopper" Read. The baby was born after a difficult labor to Read's wife Margaret, age 43. Chopper called his son "our Ripper Roy."
Little Roy has an older brother, Charlie, age 4, whose mother is Mary-Ann Hodge whom Chopper married while he was an inmate at Tasmania's Risdon prison in 1995. That marriage broke up in 2001 and Chopper married little Roy's mother in January 2003.
A movie about his father's 27-year history of crime and violence was made in 2000.
