Biography
German military, a submarine commander whose life inspired the film, "Das Boot." His submarine U-47 sand the British battleship Royal Oak and then escaped 10/13-14/1939. Prien was the author of an autobiography. He drowned when his boat was sunk in the North Atlantic on 3/08/1941.
