Italian journalist, editor and writer.
In 1903 he founded together with Giovanni Papini the magazine Leonardo. In the same year he founded La Voce.
He went to live in the USA in 1929 where taught at Columbia University in New York. He was the author of many books in both Italian and English, including a work on Niccolò Machiavelli.
He died in Lugano on 14 July 1982.
