Italian famous cartoon strip author, first published in 1945; the creator of the character, Corto Maltese, which made him famous in the publication, "La Bataille de la mer salee."

Pratt spent his childhood in Ethiopia before moving to Argentina for 14 years. His first marriage was on 12 March 1953, ending in divorce on 30 January 1973.

Pratt died on 20 August 1995 in Pully, Switzerland.
