Biography

French composer. He was one of "The Six," a group in the 1920's who rejected romanticism and impressionism. His most noted works include "Rapsodie Negre" and "Dialogue of the Carmelites," and his "Mass" shows sincere religious feel, 1937.

Poulenc died 1/30/1963 Paris, France.
