Biography
Dutch ecclesiastic, a Roman Catholic priest, declared pope on 1/09/1522-23, OS (1/19/1523 NS). He was the only Dutch pope and the last non-Italian up to the Polish pope, John Paul II. Adrian pointed out the way to church reformation but his reign was too short to be effective. He died 9/14/1523 OS (9/24/1523 NS).
