Biography
British colonist, the first founder of the original settlement in Pennsylvania, 10/29/1682. He was distinguished for his peace treaties with the Indians and the first grammar school which still exists as the William Penn Charter School. Penn was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1935.
Died 7/30/1718, Ruscombe, England.
