American journalist and noted family, the son of actor Gregory Peck and a reporter for KCOY TV station for six years.

He died by self-inflicted gunshot to the head 6/26/1975 5:50 PM PDT, Santa Barbara, CA. His dad made a statement that Jon had been depressed by overwork, the illness of arteriosclerosis and a failed love affair.
