Biography
German military man, the Nazi Field-Marshall and tank specialist who commanded German forces at Stalingrad. Hopelessly besieged by the Russians from November 1942, he surrendered on January 31, 1943. In 1953 he was released and returned to East Germany. He became a lecturer on military affairs.
Paulus died of cancer on February 1, 1957, Dresden, Germany.
