Biography
American engineer, a space project director at Jet Propulsion Labs. He worked at the company from 1947 until his retirement in 1987 working his way up to become Deputy Director of the company. He received several awards for his work in aeronautics and on space flights, including the NASA Public Service Award in 1963. Ten years later, 1973, he was elected to the National Academy of Engineers.
