German actress, singer and organist, a performer with "Velvet Underground," doing solo work in the '70s and '80s. During the '60s, she was one of Andy Warhol's group.
Nico died of a massive brain hemorrhage on July 18, 1988 in Ibiza, Balearic Islands, a few hours after injuring her head in a biking accident..
