Biography
Russian royalty and military, commander of the Russian army during World War I, until his nephew, Czar Nicholas II, relieved him of command at Mogilev, Belarus on 5 September (23 August OS) 1915.
He died at Villa Thénard, Cap d'Antibes, Alpes Maritimes, France on 5 January 1929.
