Biography

American socialite and wealthy New York aristocrat who was the mother of art collector Sam Wagstaff. Her son died of AIDS in January, 1987.

She was the wife of Donald Newhall who made his fortune primarily through the Newhall Land and Farming Company of California. She died in May 1973 in New York City.
