Biography

American physicist who wrote 50 papers dealing with solid-state materials in her work with the properties of crystals. She was a professor at Pennsylvania State University, and later worked with Hughes Aircraft in the fields of lasers and electro-optics.

Neuberger married in 1939, the marriage lasting 17 years and produced two children. She was also world traveled, a great cook, and a popular Mensa hostess.
