Luis Ribeiro quotes the Portuguese news agency for c. 1:00 AM local time for the beginning of the invasion of Kabul and at c. 3:00 AM the city was finally under Taliban control. The date is 27.09.1996. This date appeared in several newspapers, consistently.
Judy Johns writes, "Taliban seized Kabul Sep 27, 1996 at 1:00 AM. I have that they (Taliban) executed Najibullah about 10:30 PM. on Sep 26,1996."
