Biography
American athlete, NBA basketball player for San Diego Rockets (1970-71) and Houston Rockets (1971-83) . In 1978, Murphy earned the J. Walter Kennedy Humanitarian Award. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame on May 10, 1993.
