Biography
Portuguese-born football (soccer) coach of the famous Chelsea Football Club based in London. He began coaching in 2002 after a mediocre career as a player and in management with a stint as an interpreter for a Portuguese athlete. In 2003 as head coach of Porto he won a championship (UEFA Champions League). He took over the Chelsea Football Club in 2004 and went on to win additional championships. Following that season and the next, the nternational Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) honored him by naming him the world's best football manager.
In 2008 he took over Serie A and led the team to an Italian Supercup.
