Biography
French jockey, winner of the Arc de Triomphe in 1990, riding Saumarez. It is the biggest race in Europe, held at Longchamp in Paris. The world's fastest thoroughbreds compete in the 2,400 meter classic distance (approx. 1 1/2 miles) This internationally renowned sporting event is the most highly prized competition for fans of flat racing.
Among his 95 wins, he was the winner of the ‘’Lauriers du plat’’ (Laurels of the flat).
