Biography
Italian-American economist and author of books and essays on economics. Modigliani moved to the U.S. to study in 1939 and remained, teaching in American universities from 1944. In 1962 he became a consultant to the U.S. Treasury Dept until 1972. On 16 October 1985, he was honored with the Economics Nobel Prize.
Modigliani died in his sleep on September 25, 2003.
