Biography

British well-known and prolific artist who taught at a prominent London art school. A homosexual and alcoholic, he suffered depressions and felt that his creative gift had left him, saying that "after Matisse and Picasso, there is nothing." He died of an overdose on sleeping pills on 1/20/1957, London, England.
