Biography
American homicide who entered a Davie, Florida yard along with a companion on 2/17/1975, 6:31 PM EST, where two little kids were playing. The two boys beat and strangled to death a four- year-old boy and beat his baby sister to death, having no idea who their victims were as they were simply on a rampage.
Roland was indicted on the charge of murder on 3/05/1975 when the files were closed on the case as he was a minor. Roland's court record began when he ran away from home on 10/09/1973 at the age of 12. The next year he was charged with larceny, on 2/25/1974, and he ran away again on 7/23/1974, trying to get to New Orleans where the family had lived previously.
He was the son of a Cuban cancer research scientist. It was noted that from his early childhood years, he ate his food with such ferocious greed that he often became sick at meals.
